forty days. forty stories.
“Aunt Donna” has always loved to be part of Julie’s life, from trying to introduce the infant to chocolate milk and ice cream, to telling her her first “dirty” joke as soon as she could talk. Donna loves to tell jokes . So, she felt Julie and her sister needed to learn to tell them as well. As Julie,s mom was driving them down the road one day, the question was asked, “Mommy, do you want to hear a dirty joke?”
As Mommy held her breath and said , “OK.”, the reply came, “One day a little boy fell in a mud puddle !” Mommy didn’t even need to ask where they learned that.
Years earlier, Donna grew up on the same family farm as Julie . She would rather do outdoor work than house work, occasionally helping her brother, Julie’s dad, after he bought the farm.
She worked for 30+ years as a nurse and now lives across from the farm, next to Julie’s mom. Donna still loves to tell jokes, as she volunteers at the local nursing home.
