Julie Rene Aurand (the spelling “Joolee” is her own) was born on April 9, 1972 to Nelson and Genevieve Aurand. We kick off the Joolee’s Forty project with a birth announcement that Nelson wrote in the form of a flight plan, which makes sense when you know that Joolee comes from a family with more than a few pilots (her grandfather flew), and that they had a grass strip on the farm where Joolee grew up.
What’s also apparent from reading this clever little piece, is where Joolee gets her sense of humor and fun.
Nelson passed away when Joolee was fifteen, so we couldn’t think of a better way to kick off this project than with this birth announcement. Welcome to jooleesforty.com.
For more about Joolee’s father and the aviation connection, see the contributors note for Nelson Aurand
Thanks for your help with this one, Genefee :O)
And she’s still cruisin’ sky high to even bigger and better places. What a way to explore life!! Hugs, Leisa and Peter Kokes – Entwood – Missouri Ozarks
